We are “Live” on MeLCat!!
On June 17th, the Camden Twp. Library officially went “live” on the Statewide Interlibrary Program called MeLCat (which stands for Michigan Electronic Catalog). Patrons with valid library cards can now log onto the MeL website (see our link under Library Links) and begin ordering their own Interlibrary requests. All filled requests will arrive at the Camden Twp. Library for pick up.
The Camden Twp. Library also has chosen to participate in the “Visiting Patron” program through MeLCat. This program allows our valid patrons to visit other participating libraries and check items out using their Camden Twp. Library card. There are a few restrictions with this program, but its benefits are worth it.
We are very excited about this first step with MeLCat. By summer’s end, we should be set to lend our materials to other libraries. Stop in anytime and we will gladly show you how to use MeLCat.
Summer Reading is in Full Swing!
We kicked off our summer reading season on May 31st. This year, we are offering programs for all ages: from 1 year all the way to adults! All programs are designed to be fun and easy to fit into your summer schedules. Our patrons from 2 years old through 12th grade can also participate in our Bonus Program and earn a free ticket to a Fort Wayne Wizards baseball game!
