How long can I check out items?

With a valid library card, you can check books, magazines and audio books for 2 weeks.  VHS, DVDs and Music CDs can be checked out for 1 week.

 

Who does the Camden Twp. Library Serve?

The Camden Twp. Library serves all residents in Camden Township (including residents in Camden Village and Montgomery Village), Amboy Township, Woodbridge Township & Ransom Township. 

 

Can I get a library card even if I don’t live in the 4 townships served by the Camden Twp. Library?

We do allow people out of our service area to obtain library cards - at a cost of $5.00 per year.  You must fairly live close to Camden, though. 

 

What if I am only visiting the Camden Area - can I use the library?

You can always come use our facilities (inlcuding our computers) without checking out items.  If you have a library card with another Michigan Library, you may be able to check books out from us through the MichiCard Program.

 

What is the MichiCard Program?

The MichiCard Program is a state-wide program designed for patrons who travel throughout Michigan.  With this program, a patron from one participating MichiCard Library can borrow books from another participating MichiCard Library.  The key is that both libraries must be MichiCard registered libraries.  The patron must have a valid library card with their home library and register for MichiCard at both libraries.  This program is especially useful for patrons who vacation in other areas of Michigan and would still like to enjoy reading library books.
